Being 20 hasn’t really changed anything. Life isn’t really all the dreams you thought it would be. Its disappointing, frustrating, stressful, and all these other emotions that you probably never thought you would feel. You looked at the world as a naïve child. Now your eyes are wide open. Sometimes you wish you could close them so tight and go back to how it was. Everyone tells you that you’re just a dreamer, but I think you just see more than they can. You’re brilliant. It would be such a shame if no one ever saw ALL the things you have to give. You don’t dream BIG for no reason. You have so much to offer the world. You only show people a glimpse because you’re so afraid of what they might say. Sometimes, you show too much and that’s okay. Wear your heart on your sleeve. Believe that there is good in everyone. Be naïve. If life begins to be too much and you start to lose yourself once again. Close your eyes and dream of all the colors you were taught to see. Imagine all the things you used to. Know that this is not all that life has to offer you. Stand up and be yourself. So you can shine. Don’t get lost in someone else. Be free and don’t get locked inside your shell. Let you be yourself.
